1st place at the MediaSurfer 2024 for Taunusblickschule Wallau
How important early digital education and hands-on projects can be is clearly demonstrated by a very special school project at Taunusblickschule Wallau. The former class 3a (now 4a), together with their teacher Mrs. Mohr and supported by our colleague Kai Kerwel, developed their very own video game “Rettet mit Willi die Umwelt”.
Throughout the project, the students learned how to work with the Scratch programming platform, designed all game characters and backgrounds themselves, developed quiz questions on environmental protection, and programmed multiple game levels independently. The result is a media education project that combines technology, creativity, teamwork and environmental awareness in an impressive way.
For their achievement, the class was awarded 1st place in the under-10 category of the MediaSurfer 2024 – Media Competence Award of the State of Hesse.
corosys Managing Director Stephan Dittrich puts it in a nutshell:
"It’s wonderful to see how much creativity and enthusiasm children develop when given the opportunity. Projects like this highlight the importance of early media education and practical experience. We are happy to support such regional initiatives."
By allowing Kai Kerwel to support the project, corosys was able to make a small contribution to this success. Educational initiatives like this are part of our responsibility as a regional company committed to fostering young talent and media competence.
We warmly congratulate class 4a, Mrs. Mohr and Taunusblickschule Wallau on this great success!
