Degassing of liquids

Oxygen – known in breweries as the greatest enemy of beer. It leads to oxidation, changes the aroma profile of the beer negatively and impairs its shelf life. It is therefore important to prevent oxygen from getting into the finished beer at all stages. However, this is only possible if the water with which the beer comes into contact or with which the beer is blended is also oxygen-free. For this reason, the water used must always be reliably degassed. The possibilities for this are manifold, and the results are correspondingly manifold. Take a look at the different solutions we have developed over the years and which are used by many customers worldwide.

Our solutions for water degassing

The search for the right water degassing system can be difficult. If you have any questions or would like advice, our specialists will be happy to assist you.

The Cold Water Deaeration (CWD) deaerates water down to a residual oxygen concentration below 50 ppb. At the same time the water is saturated with 2 g/l CO2.

Capacity: 25 to 1000 hl/h / 2.5 to 100 m3/h
Residual oxygen content: < 50 ppb / 0.05 ppm
CO2 consumption: 2.4 g/l

The Vacuum Water Degassing (VWD) deaerates water down to a residual oxygen concentration below 10 ppb. Optionally the water can be cooled down, filtered or sterilized with ultraviolet light.

Capacity: 25 to 1000 hl/h / 2.5 to 100 m3/h
Residual oxygen content: < 10 ppb / 0.01 ppm
CO2 consumption: 0.3 g/l
